HOPE Key Necklace Fundraiser with The Grief & Trauma Healing Centre for CMHA Edmonton
The HOPE Campaign
In honour of the 10-year anniversary of Ashley's father’s death by suicide on November 26, 2020, God put a call on her heart to create a campaign built on hope; hope for those who are silently struggling with thoughts of suicide and hope for those whose hearts have been broken by the death of a loved one to suicide.
For the past decade, Ashley has had the humble privilege of inspiring hope in others who are deeply hurting through her story of healing and overcoming and now it’s time to spread hope beyond the walls of The Grief and Trauma Healing Centre to our larger community.
Suicide is a critical public health issue in our country. Every single day, approximately 11 people die by suicide and 210 people make a suicide attempt in Canada. 4000 Canadians on average die by suicide every year, with a majority of those being men.
Sadly, the number of deaths by suicide is projected to increase over the next few years as a result of unemployment and other factors related to the coronavirus pandemic.
If we can help prevent a death by suicide and the heartbreak and devastation that follows, that is the why behind The Hope Campaign.
Please consider purchasing a necklace today to bring hope to those who are fighting silent storms and to support suicide awareness and prevention in our community. All proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Mental Health Association Edmonton for their suicide support services.
